Project Description
The Red Sea Mall roof includes a set of skylights that form its roofing system. The skylights are divided into 3 packages:
The Central Court Skylight has a clear span of 60 m and length of 120 m, the Arched Skylights (qty: 2) have a clear span of 30 m and length of 150 m, and the Side Mall Skylights (qty: 4) have relatively smaller dimensions.
Combined together, the skylights weigh more than 1000 tons of steel and cover around 17,000 m2 of area. Insulation panels substitute the double glazing panels in some parts of the skylights in order to reduce transmitted heat and consequently overheating.
